ONERVA PICTURES receives CREATIVE EUROPE CO-DEVELOPMENT funding

The European co-development initiative provides funds to audiovisual production companies to develop works with high creative value and cultural diversity and wide cross-border exploitation potential.

Onerva Pictures is honored to be working on the development of SHADOW STATE with experienced and talented producers from Norway and Germany. The awarded amount of 180 000€ will be shared between the three countries.

Norwegian producer Gudny Hummelvoll of Hummelfilm recently produced Nothing To Laugh About (2021) and the TV-series Headhunters (2022), and is currently in production with the Netflix drama series Salmon Island. She is also serving as the President of European Producer’s Club. 

Based in Munich and New York, producer, writer and director team Kathrin Lohmann and Katharina Otto-Bernstein are best known for feature films Joyland (Cannes Prix du Jury 2023), Meeresleuchten (ARD), starring Ulrich Tukur (The White Ribbon) and Sibel Kikilli (Game of Thrones); Jack the Ripper (SAT1), starring Nicholas Farrell; the Amazon Prime series Für Umme; The Second Greatest Story Ever Told, starring Malcolm McDowell and Mira Sorvino; the acclaimed HBO documentaries The Price of Everything (Emmy Nomination), Mapplethorpe: Look at the Pictures (Two Emmy Nominations), Beautopia (Sundance premiere); and packaging the Oscar, BAFTA and César winning The Lives of Others
